This is a great looking Art Deco Laco in hinged edelstahl rostsicher (rustless steel) tank case with fixed lugs and chasing on the sides. Watch is German made and and mid 1930’s vintage. The Laco logo is embossed on caseback. The original dial has an even patina resulting in a pleasing champagne color. There is a small scratch on the dial which shows much more in photos than in person. 1970’s Vulcain Advertisement

Text from 1970 Vulcain Ad “a fine watch product of Jules Jurgensen Corp.”

Vintage Jules Jurgensen Nautical Alarm Watch circa 1970 with attention grabbing multicolor original dial. The orange, red and black spiral design scale on dial is used to calculate decompression stop time required when diver is ascending from various depths and the rotating 60 minute bezel is used to see time-lapse. This Jules Jurgensen timepiece is the rarer version of the nearly identical and well renowned twin, the Vulcain Nautical Alarm of the same period. At first glance it may appear that JJ stole the design from Vulcain but in fact Vulcain was owned by Jules Jurgensen, as referenced in the text from 1970 print ad above. It seems that the association was not often referenced, normally they used the familiar Vulcan branding for alarm watches with no mention of the Jules Jurgensen ownership. Not many of this watches were made with the Jules Jurgensen branding. This watch is massive for a circa 1970 watch at a commanding 42mm across excluding the crown. It operates on a manual MSR S2 movement which has 2 separate winding barrels. It also has a bi-rotational outer dive bezel. The orange, red and black dial is quite something to see with its compression scales – this example is pristine too. The white painted hands are original to the watch. The case back fits snugly but has no factory markings, I believe this is the original inner case back but originally there would also have been an outer cover which is not present. This does not effect the timekeeping of watch but it should not be seen as waterproof and it should not be used in or near water. Both the case and outer bezel are in very nice vintage condition. The watch runs well and keeps accurate time, and the alarm buzzes when triggered from a fully wound state. The crown manually winds the time barrel in a counter clockwise direction and the alarm barrel in a clockwise direction. This movement caliber allows the time to be set forward only, and the alarm hand to be set backward only – both of which to avoid damage to the movement. 1985 Tag Heuer Catalogue

TAG HEUER 2000 AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH DIVER with panda dial circa 1985. This vintage model (173.206) with quickset function hails from the earliest days of the TAG takeover of Heuer (circa 1985) and it is a very sought after collectable. The original matte black dial is in good condition, the hands show some aging under magnification. The flat mineral crystal is good condition and clear and has a cyclops magnifier for date aperture. The 60 click bezel turns freely in a counter clockwise direction. The watch runs and keeps time and the chronograph starts, runs and resets, watch has been serviced by our watchmaker. The movement is an automatic ETA 2892-2 with a chronograph module. The dial, bracelet, movement, case and screw down crown are all signed. #5900 Rare Bucherer 70’s Vintage Automatic Lemania 1340 Chronograph

This is a rare and collectible Bucherer ref 9803 automatic chronograph with the famous 1340 Lemania movement which was jointly developed by Lemania and Omega. Watch is dated to circa 1970-1972 vintage. Watch has been tested and both time and chronograph, including registers and date work perfectly. The watch has a quick change date function from the second crown position. The piece is in nice aesthetic condition and the original gold tone dial on this piece is absolutely pristine. The original Omega style hands are great. The watch is powered by the highly sought after Lemania 1340 automatic 12 hour chronograph, which features an unusual centrally based 60 minute sweep chronograph totalizer hand, rather than the conventional 30 minute counter. This caliber was a collaboration by both Bucherer and Omega (the Omega equivalent was the Lemania cal 1040) and is the predecessor of the legendary Lemania 5100. (The watch design itself basically resembles the Omega Mark III.)
The cushion case case is gold filled and has a stainless steel screwback. The Lemania movement serial number puts this watch production date to 1970-1972. This is a very stylish and well built high quality watch with 120 click unidirectional turning bezel, screwed crown with the classic Montblanc logo and sapphire crystal. Watch and it’s signed Montblanc butterfly bracelet are stainless steel and it sits comfortably and solidly on the wrist. Raymond Weil moonphase calendar watch – the Raymond Weil Maestro Phase de Lune Semainier (2859-STC-00659). This is a very high quality luxury model watch from about 2010 with integrated case correctors for the calendar, and an engine turned silver dial with a hobnail pattern and blue hands. The sapphire crystal is adorned with AR coating on both sides, and a display caseback. It has a rare and interesting feature in the form of a 52 week pointer hand that swings right around the perimeter of the dial, measuring out the month as it goes. It also features three subdials showing day, date and an unusual analog moonphase display. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and buckle. Heuer Autavia Ref. 11630MH automatic chronograph circa 1972 with black dial, grey registers and yellow highlights. The watch is powered by Heuer / Buren cal 12 movement and has bi-directional rotating minute / hour (MH) bezel. The stainless steel case and bezel show usage but case has crisp lines and appears to be in unpolished condition. The name Autavia comes from a combination of two words: Automotive & Aviation and was originally associated with Heuer dashboard clocks in automobiles and aircraft. In the early 1960’s the Autavia name was used on Heuer chronograph wristwatches for the first timer. Since its launch in 1962, the Autavia became one of the go to chronographs for the racing community with the first automatic chronograph (cal 11) being launched in 1969. Omega Globemasters of this era are fairly rare, the name was only used in North America and only for a short period of time before being withdrawn because of a trademark dispute with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft who used the same name for one of their aircraft. Steel/18K Schwarz-Etienne Split Seconds Chronograph circa late 1990s. The split seconds chronograph is one of the most complicated functions on a mechanical watch and is rarely seen, this is a limited series piece, movement is numbered #084 and model number is LE no.33. The watch keeps accurate time on the wrist; both the chronograph and split seconds work exactly as designed. This is a true luxury piece, made of steel and 18K gold and has silvered dial is gorgeous with machined sub dials, gold being the crown and 3 pushers, applied numerals, bezel and bracelet interlay. Pre-owned Fortis B-42 GMT Stainless Steel 42mm Chronograph, ref. 637.10.175. The GMT feature is very desirable and only found on a limited number of Fortis B-42 chronographs. The oversize (8mm) signed crown is designed to easily be manipulated with gloved hands. This watch is estimated to have been produced circa 2005 (2000 – 2010). The silver dial has raised Arabic numerals with adjacent luminescent dots and hands are blued steel. The dial features 60-second, 30-minute, and 12-hour sub dials and 24 hour time is indicated on the sidewall of inner bezel. The GMT time is indicated by the light blue pointer hand and is quick set with crown. The date display is at the 3 o’clock position. The sapphire crystal has anti-reflective treatment on both side as does the exhibition sapphire case back. The ETA 7750 movement, which has a power reserve of 48 h, and 25 Jewels works well and keeps accurate time. This Vostok Europe Anchar is a big watch (48 mm) yet very comfortable on an average size wrist. The crown is located at 2 0’clock which allows for the large size to be comfortable without crown digging into wrist. The black dial with yellow highlights on it and on matching unidirectional rotating bezel make this a real eye grabber. The steel case is in sandblasted and it looks a bit like titanium due to the finish, case back is engraved with the K-162 Anchar Submarine and has a limited edition number 0912/3000.
