Great looking wrist alarm from high end Swiss Jeweller Bucherer, dating to circa 1960. The alarm winds and sets with upper crown, watch works very well and keeps precise time. Previous owner said watch had been serviced but service date is unknown. The stainless steel case is in very good condition with only minor signs of wear and the dial is very clean and appears to have been refinished some time ago. Watch is powered by an AS1475 movement (the work horse of many vintage alarms), the alarm rings out loud and the watch keeps precise time. Croton Grenchen Nivada Alert wrist alarm with great looking original dial and eye pleasing long flared lugs. Update Feb 28/26 watch has just been freshly serviced. We estimate that this watch was produced between 1958 – 1962.
The watch has two crowns, the upper crown sets and winds alarm and also turns it on and off. The manual wind movement is signed Croton Nivada Grenchen and is an A. Schild 1475 17 jewels with Incabloc shock protection and is in good working condition. Case is showing brass on it’s high points but has an overall nice vintage look.
