1950’s Le Phare Advertisement
A beautiful and quite rare Le Phare salmon dial calendar moonphase watch from the 1950s. The salmon coloured dial of course is the outstanding feature on this watch – and is in remarkable condition given its age. The watch sports the renowned Valjoux 90 manual wind movement. The piece is fully signed LePhare on the dial, movement and case back. It is in full working condition and keeping precise time. The side reset pushers all function correctly to reset the moonphase (at the 4), month (at the 10) and date (at the 8:30 position). The day, date and moonphase all turn over through the daily cycle as they should. Photos are magnified and show details not seen by naked eye, the case measures 34 mm across (not including crown) x 44 mm lug to lug and is 12.85 mm thick. Leather bracelet is 18 mm wide at lugs.
