This LeJour 17 jewel mechanical alarm watch was made in France in the mid 1960’s. LeJour was one of many companies to make a wrist alarm, responding to the popularity of the Vulcain Cricket which first appeared in the early 50’s. The watch has two crowns, the lower one winds and sets the watch and the upper one winds and sets the alarm. When the alarm is activated a buzzing sound is heard as a small hammer rapidly vibrates against the inside of the case. The watch is gold filled with stainless steel back, dial is original and in great condition. Photos are not actual size of watch, the case measures 34 mm across (not including crown) x 42 mm lug to lug and is fit with a leather bracelet.
