Angelus moonphase Datoluxe pointer date calendar watch with original dial and an Angelus caliber 253 movement, circa 1950 vintage. Angelus moonphase calendar models have become very rare and collectible over the years, you just don’t see too many of these anymore. These models were produced in the early 50’s. The watch itself runs strong and keeps time; the day, date and moon turn over daily, and both pushers quickset the functions correctly (date and moonphase.) The watch is housed in a white metal case. The dial has a good even patina with a few marks. The crystal is good and clear with a couple of small cracks on the very edge. Photos are magnified and show details not seen by naked eye, the case measures 34 mm across (not including crown) x 41 mm lug to lug. Watch comes on a new black leather strap.
