Great looking 1930’s Gruen doctor’s watch with red sweep seconds hand and rare inner seconds chapter, designed specifically to be easily read while taking a patients’ pulse. Gruen was the watch of choice for many physicians of this era because of it’s great reputation as an accurate timekeeper. The dial of the watch is original and is in good condition with some patina, and minor spotting. The gold filled case with metal back has been professionally refinished, The glass crystal is also original, it has some minor scratches which only show if viewed from an angle (it is rare to find glass crystals, most have been replaced with plastic which can be done free of charge if requested by the buyer before shippment). The 17 jewels movement has been serviced by our watchmaker and is in excellent working condition. Measures 26 x 39 mm (not including crown) and is fitted with a new leather bracelet.
