Great looking late 1940’s Steel Tissot chronograph in “waterproof” case with round pushers. This fine quality vintage Tissot, dated by serial number (1564202) to 1945, looks remarkably similar to it’s cousin the pre-moon Omega cal 321, right down to the Tissot cal 6965 movement which appears to be identical to the famous Omega 321 but without the pink gold plated finish. This is not that surprising as both were made by Lemania which had a very close relationship with both companies. In fact since 1932 Tissot, Omega and Lemania were members of a group called the SSIH (societe suisse pour l’industrie horlogere) and co operated on the production of many watches. Watch is in excellent condition, is signed inside and out and has been serviced by our watchmaker. Measures 34 x 42 mm (not including crown) and is fit with a new leather strap.
