Great looking automatic Omega Tank men’s dress watch, ref L5297, (sometimes called the Cartier Tank Francaise Of Omega) in 14K Gold Filled case. This watch dates from late 1959 and also somewhat resembles the famous Omega Tank watch gifted to JFK that he was seen wearing in the early 1960s. The silvered dial on this watch is original amd great condition and the case has a linen textured finish that really stands out. The case is great overall with only one small spot of wear on the back. The crystal is in mint condition. The case has a personal engraving on the back. It is powered by a pristine automatic Omega Cal 570 movement, which runs accurately on the wrist. It winds both manually and under the power of the automatic rotor. It comes on a black strap. Photos are magnified and show details not seen by naked eye, the case measures 28.5 mm across (not including crown) x 35 mm lug to lug, which was considered full size for an Omega Tank back in the day.
